And our predictions…
I mean, did you expect us to pick anybody else? That said, the Gators are coming into the tournament as one of the hottest teams in the NCAA after a big win against regular season champion Auburn followed by throttlings of Alabama and Kentucky. The Gators are firing on all cylinders and have a great shot at cutting down the nets in St. Louis before the real show begins.
A potential Tennessee match-up in the ‘Final Four’ will likely be the toughest challenge for the Gators if they want to make it to Sunday’s championship game, as the Volunteers have been playing well during their latest 4-game win streak. The Auburn/Kentucky match-up would be juicy and many still like Auburn to collect the 2nd piece of SEC hardware, but you just can’t count out Coach Cal – he always has his guys ready this time of the year (minus just getting crushed by the Gators, heh).
At the end of the day it will be another year of the Gators and Wildcats battling it out. Round #3, anybody?
