4-Star OT Richard Gouraige turns down Clemson to stick with Gators

It was a battle to the end but 4- offensive tackle Richard Gouraige stuck with his Florida Gators when he signed with UF on National Signing Day.

Gouraige originally committed to the former UF coaching staff back in October. Shortly after that verbal pledge former head coach Jim McElwain. Despite all the coaching turnover in Gainesville, Gouraige kept his commitment intact, but continued to shop around to other schools. Aside from a trip to Florida, the 6-foot-5, 271-pounder also used official visits to Clemson, Ole Miss, and Auburn. Many thought his commitment was always hanging in the balance.

In the end the Gators new coaching staff hung on and fought off several other top programs and keep this important talent close to home.
