Dan Mullen and the Gators staff continues to work relentlessly on the recruiting trail as they try and put together an impressive 2018 class and begin a Championship caliber rebuild. The hard work looks to be paying off, as 4-star cornerback and Maryland commit Noah Boykin looks to be favoring the Gators after his recent visit.
Ranked as the 35th overall CB in the 2018 class, and 2nd out of DC, the 6’2″, 170 pound athlete would will a huge need for the Gators who will be looking to add more talent to the backfield.
Boykin chose not to sign early with the Terrapins last month and has expressed interest in other schools, particularly Florida who blew him away at his trip to Gainesville, verbally admitting that he feels he can fit in with the Gators despite being from Washington, D.C. Two former Gators from the same area, Joe Haden and Teez Tabor, have Boykin thinking very seriously about joining Florida next season.
Boykin said he has a final decision to make and will announce it on National Signing Day. Now that he has visited Gainesville, the Gators are considered the team to beat for the talented 4-star prospect. If I were a betting man (and I am) I feel confident that the Gators can get a flip and add this incredible cornerback prospect to the class.
Our Prediction: Yeah, he’s going to be a Gator #NoFlyZone
Florida Gators – 85% Chance
Maryland Terrapins – 10% Chance
Notre Dame Fighting Irish – 5% Chance
